The latest Storm Tracker Forecast from meteorologist Matt Mackie:
High pressure that kept us bright & sunny yesterday is pulling away from us. Coming in to replace it is a storm system that will bring clouds and rain.
The first round of rain could sweep through the region during the early afternoon. While north of Albany we expect only showers, though the Mid-Hudson Valley, Taconics, and Berkshires could see a stronger storm or two.
Tomorrow starts off dry, but more scattered showers fire up during the afternoon. We could all see rain, but the chances are higher north and west of Albany.
Rain chances go down, but they don’t go away as we go into Tuesday and Wednesday. We finally clear out on Thursday – but it will be brisk & blustery. Expect highs that barely clear the 60 degree mark.
Friday looks like a cool morning, but will also feature afternoon high temperatures that are slightly warmer – in the mid 60’s. October begins on Saturday, and we expect a nice day to welcome in the new month with highs in the 60’s!
