4/28/19: Dry and Sunny to Start the Work Week

Weather Blog

Latest Forecast Update From Meteorologist Rob Lindenmuth:

After a not so pleasant Sunday with periods of rain and mostly cloudy conditions we are going to continue to clear out through the night and become frosty cold for many locations with lows dropping into the upper 20’s and low 30’s! That is why a frost advisory has been issued for some locations.

The system that brought the rain showers this afternoon is continuing to push off the east coast which will make room for high pressure to build in from the west… High pressure is our friend, clear skies tonight will transition to sunshine through tomorrow afternoon.

By late tomorrow afternoon and evening we will start to see clouds begin to increase ahead of our next weather maker.

That storm system is out west right now and will quickly move east as high pressure quickly moves off the coast by Monday afternoon.

The good news is, while we are enjoying the sunny skies for Sunday we will also enjoy temperatures into the upper 50’s for most, which still leaves us several degrees below average for this time of year.

We remain unsettled through the week, however the latest model guidance suggest we may get a little milder than we originally thought… By the middle to end of the week we will make it at least into the low to mid 60’s, back to average for this time of year… Check back frequently this week because this can quickly change as models do not have a very good handle on this setup.

Have a great day!
