3/24/19: Cooler Start to the Work Week

Weather Blog

Latest forecast from Meteorologist Rob Lindenmuth:

After a spectacular close to the weekend, many of us enjoying temperatures mainly in the 50’s to near 60, some struggled to get out of the 40’s, we will get another shot of colder air for everyone as we get set to start a new work week.

The flow today was more southwesterly thanks to an area of high pressure situated to our south and east, that allowed for a mix of sun and clouds through the afternoon and temperatures to soar into the 50’s! It also kept a storm system to our west out of our area, with the exception of just a few high clouds through the afternoon.

A cold front to our north is set to move south after midnight tonight which will push that area of low pressure south, but it will also change our wind direction to the north.

With that change in wind direction we will expect temperatures to mainly be in the 30’s to near 40 for not only Monday but Tuesday as well, however, high pressure will build in so we should see a fair amount of sunshine with those chilly temperatures.

We start a warming trend as we head into the middle to end of the week, however we will trade out that bright sunshine for an increase in cloud cover and we do look to turn a little more unsettled heading into next weekend.

Have a great week!
