The worst of the storm is over but evidence of snow-covered roads and ice is still with us so give yourself some extra time for the morning commute. We can still see some lingering snow showers early this morning before a lull by lunch. We’ll see the chance for a few more leftover snow bands this afternoon-maybe an extra coating in the Capital Region? Additional 1″ or so in the mountains? Otherwise we’re warming into the mid 30s with some sunshine and strong winds. Winds can gust to near 20-30 mph this afternoon.
We’ll dry out tonight with a good looking Valentine’s Day forecast tomorrow! It’ll be a bright, dry and breezy day with a high in the upper 30s. Dinner plans with your sweetie won’t have any weather woes! Friday is a bit of a different story with some rain showers for the Capital Region and snow or mixing in the mountains.
The weekend is looking quieter with some sun and 30s for day highs but colder air makes a quick return early next week with nights back in the teens and single digits.
