After plenty of snow showers in the higher terrain since yesterday & a wet afternoon and overnight for most of the Capital Region-we’ve seen the changeover to snow since about 3:30 AM and we’ll find steadier snow through the morning. Some slick untreated surfaces can be expected with higher elevations needing to shovel a few to several inches of snow. Highest snow totals will be in the Adirondacks.

As temperatures warm into the upper 30s & lower 40s, we’ll see some rain mixing with the snow across higher elevations. While we have a “drier” drive home with only a few rain/mix or flurries- Mountain snow showers will continue to come down through tomorrow and higher elevations will have to prepare for snow showers until they let up by Wednesday night…

Some sun will hopefully sneak into Thursday’s forecast and with the exception of a flurry or two-we should have a drier end to the week. Some rain will return late Saturday and a couple showers/flurries can’t be ruled out Sunday.
