Latest forecast from meteorologist Rob Lindenmuth:
We will see a few clear breaks through the overnight hours but clouds will ultimate win out as a weak area of low pressure drops south with a cold front. That cold front means business!
Not only will it be bringing dropping temperatures throughout the day on Sunday it will also bring scattered snow showers and flurries through the afternoon which could add up to a few inches by tomorrow evening for some of us.
The initial burst will be the most widespread through tomorrow morning, the snow become more scattered as we go through Sunday afternoon.
When all is said and done Sunday evening most of us have just received a coating to near an inch, but the western Catskills, Adirondacks, southern greens and perhaps some in the Northern Berkshires could be seeing up to 3 inches of snowfall.
Then our eyes shift to the next system that looks to bring us a little bit of everything as we start the new work week, and that influence lingers with us through early Thursday. We try to dry out by next weekend but temperatures will be chilly, reaching back to near normal levels.
