4/6/19: Springlike Temperatures to End the Weekend

Weather Blog

Latest Forecast Update from Meteorologist Rob Lindenmuth:

If you enjoyed the temperatures that we experience for Saturday afternoon, I’ve got great news for you because we look to get even warmer than that to close out the weekend!

We’ve got high pressure to thank for this beautiful weather that we are experiencing this weekend. It moved in Friday night and helped to thin out the cloud cover through Saturday afternoon which ultimately led to partly to mostly sunny skies.

There are some cloud cover issues as we go through the night tonight which will lead to a partly cloudy overnight. However, I do think that we will at least start off partly to mostly sunny for the first half of Sunday.

By Sunday afternoon we are going to be seeing a blend of sun and clouds but our temperatures will be very enjoyable, mainly in the 60’s!

But a storm system which is bringing severe weather to the south both today and tomorrow will be moving northeast through Sunday afternoon.

As this system begins to approach the region clouds will begin to increase through the late afternoon hours of Sunday and into Sunday evening, however I do believe that we will remain dry through most of Sunday night.

It isn’t until early Monday morning when we start to turn a little wet. We could even hear a few claps of thunder as this system moves through Monday morning through the afternoon as we will be experiencing several rounds of rain.

I do think that we will see dry time through Monday afternoon which would allow our temperatures to still reach the mid 60’s for most. We cool down by the middle of the week with temperatures back into the upper 40’s to near 50 with the chance for showers each day as well. Going into next weekend it looks like we start wet but temperatures will rebound into the upper 50’s into the low 60’s.

Have a great weekend!
