It’s the first FULL day of spring but don’t expect it to look or feel like a new season for the next few days…
Today isn’t too bad, we’ll have some rain moving in from the south by Noon with rain anything through the afternoon and evening. It’ll be wet across the Capital Region but some snow and a wintry mix can be found in higher elevation.
Snow will be come steadier and heavier tonight into Friday morning with substantial amounts possible in the highest peaks of the Adirondacks and spine of the Green Mountains.
We’ll see snow showers for a lot of Friday across higher elevation but we can even see some snow in Albany. We’ll find some rain and mixing across the Capital Region Friday afternoon but the snow will continue to fly through Friday night and early Saturday morning in higher terrain.
Winds are another part of the story as they pick up gusting to near 30-40 mph Friday PM. Winds can gust 40-50+ mph Saturday at times so expect very blustery start to the weekend!
After getting through a messy and wintry few days-we’ll find spring has returned Sunday with lots of sun and a high in the mid 50s.
