ALBANY, NY (NEWS10) – Sunday the group “PAWS” had a bowling fundraiser at the Playdium Bowling Center in Albany to help sick people with pets.
This group helps pet owners who have HIV and AIDS by paying for some of their bills, provide transportation, and care for pets when their owners are too sick.
Registration was $25 and they filled up all the lanes at the alley.
Today’s effort is to also try and move the waiting list and try to raise some funds for a truly local grassroots effort”, said the Executive Director of Albany Damien Center Perry Junjulas.
The Van Benthuysen Trust said they will match all donations made by new donors up to $5,000.
The organization provides help to people across the Capital Region, in Albany, Schenectady and Saratoga Counties.
