Be Our Guest: Max410 at the Water’s Edge
Max410 at the Water’s Edge is the former “Water’s Edge Lighthouse” location in Glenville. Max410 was previously located on Van Schaick Island in Cohoes. The owners moved into their new location in February of 2023. The former Lighthouse location on Freeman’s Bridge Road is still the same beautiful building with the same scenic waterfront views along the Mohawk River with a lot of the same staff, but guests will certainly notice that it is under new ownership. While the restaurant is primarily known for its steak and seafood, Executive Chef and Owner, Mike Fortin, has crafted a fabulous menu with a variety of delicious options. Weather permitting, their patio areas will be open for guests to enjoy dinner by the water. A portion of the patio features their Cabana bar as well as a lounge area with a separate menu offering a variety of fresh seafood. Not only do they offer fine dining for lunch and dinner, but Max410 is also a very popular venue for weddings and other special events. They have a Terrace banquet facility that seats 200 guests, the Mohawk room that can accommodate up to 50 guests, and an on-site gazebo for ceremonies. Max410 is named after the owner's son, Max, with a play on words for their last name "Fortin" which sounds a lot like the number "410". Their sister restaurant “Emma Jayne’s” in Halfmoon is named after their daughter.
