ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — IBM unveiled a new technology breakthrough that could speed up your phone or laptop, and it was developed in Albany.
The world’s first 2 nanometer semiconductor chip could speed up laptop functions and make cell phone batteries more efficient. IBM projects it could also reduce energy use by 75%.
The company’s research and development of the technology took place at the Nanotech complex in Albany.
