The Nets are trading point guard Kyrie Irving to the Mavericks for Spencer Dinwiddie, Dorian Finney-Smith, a 2029 first round pick and multiple second round picks, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski and The Athletic’s Shams Charania reports.

The move comes just days after Irving requested a trade from the Nets when extension talks between he and the team reportedly broke down. Irving is set to become a free agent after the season.

In return, Brooklyn will receive Dinwiddie, a point guard who spent five seasons with the team earlier in his career, along with forward Finney-Smith. Those two have combined to start 93 games for Dallas this year.
