BOSTON  (NEWS10) – After leading the UAlbany men’s lacrosse team to a key road league victory over Hartford on Saturday, Connor Fields has been selected as the America East Offensive Player of the Week.

It is the second time this season that Fields has earned the conference’s offensive player of the week award and third time for UAlbany, with Seth Oakes winning the other.  In all, including offensive, defensive and rookie, UAlbany has seven America East weekly awards this year.

Fields led UAlbany to its second conference victory with a 13-9 road win over Hartford.  The victory puts UAlbany in first place in the America East at 2-0, a half game ahead of Vermont and Binghamton.

The sophomore attack had a huge offensive day, tying a career-high seven goals in the victory.  He added an assist for eight points on the day, helping in eight of the team’s 13 goals.

On the year, he leads UAlbany in scoring with 19 goals and 14 assists for 33 points.

Fields and the Great Danes will host Harvard on Wednesday, March 30th at 7 p.m. at John Fallon Field.
