ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — For the second straight year the Mayor’s Cup required a shootout to decide a winner, this time it was RPI who would skate away with the win. It was the Engineers first victory in this game since 2016.

Taylor Brierley opened the scoring for Union in the second period with his first goal of the season. Zach Dubinsky responded with a power play goal just 1:11 later to tie things up.

Owen Savory made 26 saves for RPI.
