VESTAL, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Ballston Spa made history with a 13-6 win over Maine-Endwell in the Class A state title game. The victory marked the first state championship for the program.
Chance Checca hit a two run bomb in the first to give them an early 3-0 lead, the Scotties broke things open with five runs in the second inning.
Senior Luke Gold who is headed to Boston College to play baseball in the fall said, “these last five years we’ve been working for something like this then we make history winning sectionals, then we go all the way with all these great fans out here supporting us, it’s just a dream come true.”
