Working off the Weekend: Compound exercises at C-Suite Fitness in Albany


ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – There’s a new personal training studio in downtown Albany. On Monday we are learning a compound exercise, which means working your upper and lower body at the same time.

During compound exercises, you basically work your lower and then your upper body at the same time. The owner and founder of C-Suite Fitness in Downtown Albany, Brendon Parks is teaching us.

“It’s a great exercise. You are doing a TRX squat to a biceps curl. Great for quads, the front of your legs, hamstrings and your glutes. Then when you come up, you are keeping your core nice and tight, belly button into your spine with a bicep curl right at the end,” said Brendon Parks, Owner, Founder C-Suite Fitness.

With a compound exercise such as that, you burn more calories.

“You continue to make your cd real nervous system work harder, you burn more calories and you are being more efficient so you aren’t just doing muscle isolation exercises,” Parks continued.

Here at C-Suite you take people through things like that. Plus you can also sign up for yoga, specifically Hatha yoga.

With her practice, it incorporates the physical as well as the mental being. And it’s for anyone at any age range or fitness level.
