Vacant Empire Hotel collapses following storms

SHARON SPRINGS, N.Y. (NEWS10) – The vacant Empire Hotel has collapsed after a storm rolled through the area.

The mayor says the rest of the building is in danger of collapsing onto the street. A demolition crew has been called to tear down the rest of the building.

No one was injured.

The hotel was built in the 1920’s and was a five-story hotel during its heyday as a resort community.
