ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – The University at Albany men’s lacrosse team has moved up to its second highest seed in program history.

The team clinched a share of the America East regular season title for the fourth straight year on Saturday. The Great Danes also secured a number seed and hosting rights for the conference tournament with its win over Binghamton.

The team has also moved up to sixth in the national rankings – it’s second highest seed in program history. The Great Danes were number two in 2007.

Moving forward, the focus shifts to Yale, who is the fourth best team in the country. Last season, the Great Danes and Bulldogs met in front of nearly 5,000 people at Casey Stadium with the Purple and Gold coming out on top.

The two will meet in New Haven on Saturday. Face off is set for noon.
