ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – One of the two men who pleaded guilty in connection with a 2015 shooting death in Albany is saying he’s sorry.

He spoke to the victim’s relatives in court on Friday. 25-year-old Mark Bowman offered the apology this morning and then was sentenced to 25 years to life.

19-year-old Rashad Quintyne, the driver of the car, was sentenced to 15 years in connection with the Lark Street shooting that killed 26-year-old Courtney Yates and left two others hurt.

In court, a representative read a statement from Yates’ sister thanking police and everyone involved in the trial. She also spoke to bowman directly.

17-year-old Jahsheer Weaver, who fired the gun into the crowd, was convicted in April and faces 25-years to life in prison.
