Troy students recreate The Beatles’ historic last public performance

To mark the 50th anniversary of the performance, students from the Troy Music Academy relive The Beatles’ 1969 rooftop concert.

The free concert was originally planned for outdoors to mimic the original performance, but due to weather conditons, it was moved indoors to the Troy Atrium.

Troy police officers made a surprise visit to tell The Beatles “to turn down the volume,” a reenactment from the original concert where the police ended up staying to watch the show.

People of all ages attended the show, proving the iconic band still has fans 50 years later.
