SCHENCTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – The ‘Thai Thai Bistro,’ located inside the Nicholaus Building that was in danger of collapsing, is moving across town.
Back in the beginning of April major downtown roads surrounding parts of Erie Boulevard and State Street were shut down when the structure shifted slightly, possibly stemming from the demolition of another historic building next door.
Thai Thai Bistro was a restaurant on the bottom floor of the facility. Inside, a crack snakes across the floor, and tiles were seen falling from the ceiling.

The restaurant’s Facebook page claims they would like to apologize for any inconvenience or problem it may have caused in their downtown Schenectady location. They are going to open another location in Niskayuna and look forward to seeing their customers around July or August.
The exact location will be at St. James Square, the space between Dollar Tree and Smash Burger at 2321 Nott Street East Niskayuna, NY 12309.
