LATHAM, N.Y. (NEWS10) — In the spirit of breast cancer awareness month, tennis players of all skill levels came out for the third annual ‘Serve for the Cure.’

Women’s and men’s matches were held at Tri-City Fitness in Latham to raise money to support local breast cancer programs.

The event did not only feature tennis matches, but a party and prizes for those that came out as well.

“We have a very vibrant tennis community and it is nice to actually play for a cause and to spend a day playing on the court and have it really mean something,” President of All Tennis Inc., Jenny Irwin, said.

All the money raised will go towards the Susan G. Komen of Northeastern New York.
