SUNY Schenectady president delivers milk to City Mission

The “10 Gallon Challenge”? President of SUNY Schenectady County Community College Dr. Steady Moono says challenge accepted.

The #10GallonChallenge gained popularity on social media last summer as a way to help both dairy farmers and families in need. To complete the challenge: visit your local grocery store, buy ten gallons of milk and drop them off a local pantry.

With the help of other college officials, Dr. Moono delivered almost 30 gallons of milk and other dairy products, and bread to the City Mission of Schenectady’s The Family Life Center.

According to The Family LIfe Center Director of Life Enrichment Tahnya Brown, this delivery will have a big impact.

Dr. Moono accepted the challenge from President David R. Harris at Union College.

Now it’s time to pass it on! He challenged other college presidents in the Capital Region.
