Everything changed for Devon Wagner, a sophmore at Stillwater High School, when she says she found her purpose: working to find a cure.
Five people in her family have been diagnosed with cancer, so it’s a cause close her heart.
She started raising money to support LSS — the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and with the help of her community, the mission grew bigger and bigger.
Now she’s in the running to be a “Student of the Year,” one of nine Capital Region schools in the competition. For Devon, winning the title would be a win not for herself, but for her community.
