SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – A new solar farm has opened on a county-owned property in Niskayuna.
A video taken by Monolith Solar shows a three-acre farm. It’s expected to save the county $400,000 over the next 20 years.
This is the county’s second solar farm.
It’s part of an effort to become energy independent by late 2020.
