Siena’s men’s basketball coach Jamion Christian is heading to George Washington University.

“We are thrilled to announce that Jamion Christian, who led Mount St. Mary’s to two NCAA Tournament appearances and turned Siena into one of the nation’s most improved teams in 2018-19, has been hired as our head coach,” George Washington University posted on social media.

Christian replaces Maurice Joseph, who was fired earlier this month after three seasons.

Last year, Christian replaced Jimmy Patsos, who resigned amidst a college investigation into alleged verbal and physical abuse of team members and possible misuse of per diem payments.
