RENSSELAER, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Police in Troy confirmed that they are investigating after a person was shot in the leg near 4th and Polk Streets just after 1 a.m. on Thursday.

The male gunshot wound victim’s injury was not life-threatening, according to police. The 37-year-old man was treated at the scene by the Fire Department before heading to a local hospital.

The 911 call reporting shots fired and the injured victim came in around 1:15 a.m. Detectives are reportedly still working to identify a suspect and determine the context of the shooting.
