GREENFIELD, N.Y. (NEWS10) — An investigation into a fatal shooting at a residence on Howe Road on Sunday evening has closed. Police say a man had just finished cleaning his 9 MM pistol and was loading the gun when it discharged. The death has been ruled accidental according to the Saratoga County Sheriff.

The bullet passed through the wall into another room and struck his wife in the head, killing her. No charges will be filed.
