The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office says an investigation showed a 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt, driven by Granberg, was driving eastbound on State Route 67 when it crossed over the westbound lane, striking a Mechanicville Central School bus head-on. Deputies say the bus then struck a 2013 Kia Optima that was driving eastbound behind the Cobalt.
The driver of the Optima was taken via ambulance to Albany Medical Center for evaluation of non-life-threatening injuries. She is currently in stable condition.
Mechanicville City School District says four high school students were aboard on Route 67 headed to BOCES. All, including the bus driver, reported no serious injury.
According to 511 NY, all lanes in both directions between George Thompson Road and Viall Avenue CR 75 in Stillwater are closed at this time.
