RPI students create new sensory feature

TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Students at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute have created a unique sensory feature for people living with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

This type of technology is often used as a form of therapy for people who have difficulty processing too much sensory information like lights and sound.

The structure is lined with LED lights that change color, sand disks that rotate, and buttons that allow people to interact.
