SAUGERTIES, N.Y. (NEWS10) —Police have released the name of the man killed in a crash involving a dump truck, SUV and a school bus.  Jeffrey Begreen, 35, of Saugerties, was killed in the crash. It happened on Route 9W at Malden Turnpike in Saugerties—also known as Malden’s Main Street

Police say Begreen was driving the dump truck when a Nissan Rogue pulled out in front of him. Begreen swerved to avoid the SUV putting him in the path of a school bus. Police say he tried to avoid the bus causing the dump truck to hit a utility pole and turn on its side.

Begree was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the school bus was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The road was close in both directions because of the accident. No children were on the bus. Police continue to investigate the crash.
