RENSSELAER, N.Y. (NEWS10) — On November 2, voters in Rensselaer will decide whether to reelect Mike Stammel or choose Democrat Richard Mooney to lead the city. Mooney is trying to win back the mayor’s office he lost two years ago.
The Democrat sits down with News10 to discuss the issues and why voters should choose him.
Mooney was appointed mayor following the death of Dan Dwyer in November of 2018. He lost to Republican Mike Stammel in a special election to finish Dwyer’s four-year term.
