TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Multiple power lines were taken down following a crash in Troy early Tuesday morning. Troy police say a commercial County Waste Truck had an issue while driving westbound on Morrison Ave., preventing it from stopping and leading it to fall on its side near the intersection with Burden Ave. and colliding with a passenger car.

As a result of the crash, the county waste truck went off the road and through several light poles. Troy Police say no one was injured.
Intermittent road closures took place Wednesday night for NYS DOT and City of Troy personnel to install new light poles and traffic signals. Troy PD Traffic Units and Commercial Vehicle Inspectors are investigating the crash to determine if any violations occurred.
