EAST GREENBUSH, N.Y. (NEWS10) — According to the East Greenbush Police Department, there has been an increase in distraction burglaries in the surrounding areas. Police say the suspects have been posing as electrical contractors.
The suspects will pose as a contractor or utility workers to distract the resident at the front door while others will break into the home and steal valuables. Residents are urged to be wary.
