Police: Woman drives drunk to pick up husband arrested for DWI

BRUNSWICK, N.Y. (NEWS10) – New York State Police arrested a woman they say drove drunk to pick up her husband who was charged with DWI.

Police say they found Iain Wacey, 53, of Bennington, Vt., sleeping behind the steering wheel, blocking a driveway on Fox Hollow Road.

Wacey was taken into custody after police say he failed field sobriety tests. He is accused of having a blood alcohol content of 0.19 percent.

He is charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated.

Police say his wife 52-year-old Dawn Lambert-Wacey came to the barrack intoxicated to pick him up. She failed sobriety tests and was taken into custody.

Police say her blood alcohol content was 0.20 percent. She was also charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated.

Lambert-Wacey and Wacey were released to a third party.

Police say a photo of Lambert-Wacey is not available.
