SCHUYLERVILLE, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Police say a woman has been arrested for driving drunk and fleeing after a hit-and-run with a 7-year-old girl in the car.

Officials say 26-year-old Jennifer Jenkins of Schuylerville was taken into custody on Monday after officers identified her car from being involved in a hit-and-run accident late Sunday night. The vehicle sought was a 2013 gray Dodge Dart.

Authorities say they found her driving on Caroline Street at 2:15 a.m. with a 7-year-old girl in the car.

Jenkins was arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a child and aggravated DWI. The 7-year-old was turned over to a family member and her arraignment is pending. The investigation into the accident is still ongoing.
