The second time could be the charm for Amazon.
According to the latest Siena Poll, an overwhelming majority of New Yorkers would welcome Amazon back if the company reconsiders building its headquarters in Queens.
Sixty-seven percent feel it was bad for New York when Amazon pulled out of its deal back in February.
Sixty percent say they support the $3 billion state and city incentives to build the headquarters in Queens.
It’s those incentives that created political and community pressure and ultimately lead to Amazon pulling out of the project.
Governor Andrew Cuomo called it a big failure for the state.
According to the poll, Gov. Cuomo, New York City Mayor Bill DeBlasio, Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio Cortez and local activists were seen as villains in the ordeal.
