National Grid releases estimated winter heating costs

National Grid is releasing their annual forecast of estimated winter heating costs.

There is some good news as natural gas and electricity bills are expected to be lower than last year.

According to National Grid’s forecast, natural gas will decrease by five percent and your total monthly electric bill is expected to be $6 to $8 lower than last year.

National Grid is also reminding customers to use their energy wisely by taking advantage of energy efficiency programs, changing furnace filters, increasing insulation, and sealing up around your doors and windows.
