NY DMV: Don’t take selfies while driving

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – New York is now warning drivers about the dangers of taking selfies while driving.

The DMV and Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee are telling to people to put your phones down while you’re behind the wheel.

A report by the auto insurance center puts New York eighth in the country for drivers who post the highest number of driving selfies.

AAA says you can go nearly the length of two football fields when you take your eyes off the road for just two seconds at highway speed.
