Senator to request more Lyme disease funding

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) - A New York State Senator is planning to urge her colleagues to set aside more money to fight Lyme disease.

Republican Senator Sue Serino says more funding is needed for research, treatment, and prevention of the disease. 

The budget deadline is April 1.

 Last year, lawmakers put $1 million into the budget to combat Lyme disease.
