ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — New York Republican Chairman Nick Langworthy is agitating for Sen. Schumer to support the Department of Justice investigation into Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s nursing home reporting scandal. Langworthy held a press conference outside of the offices of New York Sen. Chuck Schumer.

Senator Schumer’s Office responding with the following statement.

“Public reporting indicates there is a federal investigation underway and while we do not comment on ongoing investigations, we trust the Department of Justice will pursue the facts in a thorough and professional way unimpeded by any outside interference or politics,” said spokeswoman, Allison Biasotti.
