Call to require NYS employees to receive diversity training

This viral arrest of two black men at a Starbucks in Philadelphia now prompting a call for change right here in upstate New York.

Adirondack’s conservationists and diversity experts are now urging governor Cuomo to require all state employees and state contractors to complete diversity training.

They want it to extend to tourism areas as well.

That incident at Starbucks caused protests, and now the company plans to close hundreds of its stores May 29th so employees can go through diversity training.
