ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Those looking to get in on New York’s cannabis industry now have more time to apply. The Cannabis Control Board extended the deadline for adult use applications to Dec. 18.

The board is expected to grant around 1,000 licenses during this round, which will be split between cannabis cultivators, dispensaries and distributors.

More licensing windows are expected to open in the future.
