HOOSICK FALLS, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Assemblyman Steve McLaughlin sent a snarky letter to Governor Andrew Cuomo that invited the state leader to the village pool in Hoosick Falls.

McLaughlin said the governor is welcome to take a dip in the pool over the 4th of July weekend. McLaughlin said he’s outraged that Hoosick Falls residents, who have been living with PFOA contamination in their water, continue to be neglected by the state.

In the letter, he writes:

“Over at the Executive Mansion, Governor Cuomo has a luxurious and clean pool. Here in Hoosick Falls, the water is so contaminated that the county department of health said the community pool needs to be drained, scrubbed and refilled only with filtered water. Who is going to pay for that? While he’s out celebrating the Fourth of July this weekend, I’d like to welcome the governor to stop by Hoosick Falls to take a dip in the community pool.”READ THE FULL LETTER
