BRUNSWICK, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Albany Medical Center cut the ribbon on Thursday for its fifth EmUrgentCare center.
The newest center is the first in Rensselaer County. It’s located on Hoosick Road in the Town of Brunswick.
The center will be staffed by emergency medical providers trained to handle most common and seasonal ailments, including sinus and ear infections, insect bites, cuts and lacerations.
The site will also be equipped with digital x-ray.
The goal is convenience, cost effectiveness and shorter wait times at hospital emergency rooms.
“Having the ability for emergency care outside of the hospital in appropriate cases, and so close to home is going to make a world of difference,” Rensselaer County Executive Kathy Jimino said.
The site will be open for business on Friday.
