Under Armour announces data breach affecting 150 million users of MyFitnessPal on Thursday.

The company says it became aware that an unauthorized party acquired data associated with MyFitnessPal user accounts in late February 2018.

The affected data includes usernames, email addresses, and hashed passwords. The affected data does not include government-issued information such as Social Security numbers and driver’s license numbers, or payment card data.

Under Armour says four days after learning about the issue, it notified affected users via email and through in-app messaging. Instructions are provided on how affected users can protect their information.

Users will be required to change their passwords and are urged to do so immediately.

Under Armour says it is working with leading data security firms to assist in its investigation, and also coordinating with law enforcement authorities
