Police: Malnourished kids found living in dog kennels

National

Texas deputies rescued four children at a home in Texas on Tuesday.

Police say the children were malnourished, covered in waste and two of them were found locked in dog kennels.

Deputies say they were sent to the home in response to a domestic violence call.

When they arrived, they found a woman and a man who had cuts to his face.

Deputies say there was food inside the home, but it was locked up so that the children couldn’t reach it.

The children are ages five, four, three and one.

They are in the custody of child protective services.

As for the two adults, Andrew Fibila and Paige Harkings, have been charged with four counts of child endangerment.
