Feeling stressed for the holidays? You’re not alone.

According to the American Psychology Association, 36 percent of Americans experience stress during the holidays.

TermLife2Go found the states with the most and least amount of stress around the holidays. The rankings were based on Google searches around stress-related terms.

Key findings

  • North Dakota had the highest search volume for stress-related terms over the holidays in 2017.
  • Alaska was the least stressed over the holidays last year.
  • Nebraska and Idaho residents had the highest search volume for “stress reduction” and “stress relief”, respectively.

The American Heart Association recommends keeping up with your regular healthy habits as much as possible over the holidays and taking time to relax.
