A Listeria outbreak has placed at least eight people in the hospital, and has killed one person, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevetion (CDC).

The CDC says the infections have been reported in New York State, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Michigan. The one death was reported in Michigan.

The CDC says people fell ill after eating different types of deli products, including cheeses and meats.

While Listeria has been identified in samples taken from several stores, officials have not yet identified the deli supplier.
