Great news for true crime fans — Netflix is planning to reboot the popular TV show “Unsolved Mysteries.”

The hit show, which originally aired in the 1980s, is “coming back to haunt a new generation,” Netflix announced Friday.

The new series will follow a similar format.

Officials say each of the 12 episodes will focus on a single mystery and like its predecessor will ask for the viewer’s help in solving the case.

The reboot is under the wing of Terry Dunn Meurer and John Cosgrove, both co-creators of the original “Unsolved Mysteries” series.

The producers of “Stranger Things,” Shawn Levy and Josh Barry, will also be handling production.

The original series chronicled over 1,000 stories and received six Emmy nominations.
